Weāre all feeling it these daysāthe weight of uncertainty, the pressure to meet expectations, and the constant noise that can cloud your sense of self. Itās tough to stay grounded, let alone feel like youāre being your most honest, authentic self. But Pittsburgh-based artist EJ Fabiszewski is doing just that. With the release of their debut solo single, Rampaging On, EJ leans into vulnerability and perseverance, offering a track that encourages listeners to keep going and hold tight to who they are. The song doesnāt ignore the struggleāit acknowledges itāwhile still choosing a hopeful path forward. We had the chance to sit down with EJ to talk about what inspired the track, what it means to them personally, and how theyāre using this new project to carve out something real in an often overwhelming world.
1.Ā How would you describe your sound to someone who has never listened to your music? What bands/artists inspire you the most?
āIt's like you snuck a piano into someone's acoustic set at the open mic where the vibes are high and by the end of the song you forgot you were at an open mic.Ā I find myself to be a mix of everything I've ever listened to. The Cranberries, Harry styles, Aaron West and the roaring twenties, and Matt Pless.ā
2.Ā What is the track about lyrically? What message do you want to bring to the listener?
"This one's about living your truth and realizing that everyone is going to see it slightly differently. Whatever is written isn't always said and everything said is not always written.Ā I can sit and wonder what someone else is thinking about me but at the end of the day, we are all still rampaging on!?
3.Ā Where can our viewers find you and stay up to date with future releases?
āMost up to date would be TikTok. After that Instagram. I post regularly on my YouTube channel as well.ā
