Pittsburgh alternative metal band Porters returned to Preserving Underground on a dreary winter night with the album release show of their new project Look No Further. While keeping to the classic Porters style of grunge-infused metal, the performance brought out the angsty side of the band by performing songs such as; P.O.V., which brings back tones of early-2000s post-grunge, Swinging Through, which gives off more sharp and precise rap-metal aesthetics, and Under the Sink, which turns soft whispers of verses into boastful choruses and concludes with an 80’s infused guitar solo. Porters extruded raw energy into the audience, the crowd feeding off of this aura created both an exciting but also emotionally-charged performance that lit up the cold night.
