Hello everybody, welcome back to the No Skip Show! Today, we bring you very exciting news from Philly emo legends, Modern Baseball! Loyal MoBo fans may already know, but those unfamiliar, the 23rd of this month marks ten years of their second EP, MOBO Presents: The Perfect Cast EP feat. Modern Baseball! A very influential EP, and quite a mouthful. The band also celebrated the ten year anniversary of their second album, Youāre Gonna Miss It All. In a post from Instagram they reminisced on both anniversaries while teasing something special in the works, ālooking back on this release, as well as YGMIA last year, has been an incredibly beautiful reminder of the love, support and frenzy that has followed the band since the beginning. yāall helped create such a wonderful community that we cherish so much. not sure we could express our appreciation enough for all the love and support, even so many years later!!ā
Since playing their final series of shows 8 years ago this month, the band has still found a way to celebrate their fanbase and keep on living by announcing a reissue of the EP for its anniversary. The band revealed The Perfect Cast 30th Anniversary Ultimate Edition, still as much of a mouthful, released through Lame-O Records. Physical copies will be released November 14th, while digital copies can be acquired as soon as October 23rd. Also revealed right from the post is what the ultimate edition will include, seven new tracks as well as some of the bands personal favorite acoustic sets from the tours when the EP was originally released. They also mentioned updated merch centered around the EPs release and their nights spent touring on the road. If youāve seen the post on Instagram yourself, crossing out the EP makes much more sense with all these added tracks and extras included. The band was also gracious enough to give credit where it's due by naming all those who collaborated on the project, āmixed by Jake Katz and mastered by Ian Farmer, updated artwork by Jess Flynn and Perry Shall.āĀ Are all of you excited by this ānewā release, or would you prefer they start touring once more? As always, thanks for reading and happy listening!
