Wiz Khalifa, Bossman Dlow Live at Citizens Live at the Wylie FULL GALLERY & REVIEW

I was honored to be invited to come to see Wiz Khalifa, BossMan Dlow, & DJ Bonics at Pittsburgh’s newest venue, Citizens Live at the Wylie, located in the Hill District, and right by Duquesne University, my Alma Mater. This area has so much history in the jazz scene dating back to the early 1900s, and likewise Wiz Khalifa has plenty of history in the Pittsburgh hip-hop scene.
My previous few times seeing Wiz have been at Star Lake Pavillion, and while the shows were great, seeing him in a much more intimate setting up close made all the difference. Wiz seemed young again, not only playing his hits but a mix of his newer tracks too. And the energy was through the roof - it felt like Pittsburgh came out to celebrate and appreciate the legacy that Wiz has left on the city all of us. Nearly an hour into the show, Wiz played “The Race”, and it felt like a homecoming reunion, See You Again had the crowd waving together in unity, and Black and Yellow solidified Wiz’s impact on the city.
