Hello everybody, welcome back to another exciting concert review from yours truly! This fantastic concert would take place at local, legendary venue Bottlerocket right here in Pittsburgh, PA. Only featuring three bands, but ones that would blow everyone's socks off, the night would be over quite early but that's not always a bad thing. Being a one-off from a separate tour Harrison Gordon is featured on, the rocking badasses would grace us with their presence, and with awesome local support to boot.

Morning Dew

To kick off the amazing night would be immensely underrated, but absolutely kickass, local punk/screamo duet Morning dew! These guys were the perfect opening for the night, getting the crowd riled up almost instantaneously and blowing my face off right away. With the pictures taken that night that you’ll see you can definitely understand why the drummer was pouring with sweat by the end of the night, both him and the bassist/lead vocalist were going fucking nuts the entire set. The set itself was short and sweet, but honestly with these guys it works perfectly in their favor, giving you just enough to get you warmed up but also wanting more after they play that last song. Definitely check these homies out as they deserve the attention and all the music they have out is stellar with how raw and banging it is.

Fake Grave

Following up some local homies, even more local homies but with a different sound and I’d dare say, even more underrated! Honestly, great as a followup because you can technically say they’re a perfect bridge between opener and closer. Still jammy and angsty enough to lean punk but also has those core emo elements and sonically sounds more like Mr. Gordon but more gritty in the vocals. These guys absolutely rock, both locals chosen for this one-off were fantastic and a great fit to the night. They both had the crowd active, especially these dudes starting the moshing, and kept the spirits high the entire show. If I said the boys up top need some love, then these guys need an entire bouquet of flowers and chocolate with their follows or listens, because they are next up. Only starting in late 2023, everything they have out is stellar and worth the listen to. A true local, DIY band that’s slugging through the shit to produce gems like this is what we live for.

Harrison Gordon

To top off the fantastic, criminally short, show would be future emo/punk superstars and 45 year long scene vets (picture provided, inside joke not), and absolute chill bros from, ironically, Normal, Illinois, Harrison Gordon!! These homies are the next big thing in the scene, I mean they are skyrocketing already but deserve so much more and then some. Also relatively new to the scene, starting in 2020, they are something to behold. Not only fantastic musicians and vocalists, but very funny and down to earth as well. They are genuine human beings that you can feel good about getting behind and supporting. The music is about the same as well, it’s feel good, funny, genuine, and very pop culture relevant. I mean Harrison and the homies are all around our age so it just makes sense why they’re very relatable and the music hits just right. Please give them all the love you can as they are hot right now and can get even more red hot rolling with the steam. They have plenty more to give as they alluded to at the show and have the spirit to keep on chugging.
